Gondwana Rainforest
Formerly known as the Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves of Australia, the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia located between Newcastle and Brisbane, and includes the most extensive areas of subtropical rainforest in the world. Although the rainforest only covers about 0.3% of Australia, it contains about half of all Australian plant families and about a third of Australia's mammal and bird species.
